Located in Lontzen, Belgium close to the Belgian-German border, and the city of Achen in Germany, Procoplast’s core business is articulated around process controlled plastics. It is specialised in tool development and its manufacturing, and long series high-volume production of sophisticated finished parts that predominantly go to the highly renowned Automotive Tier 1 System suppliers.

The Company was founded in 1989, and since July 2017 the Company was acquired by Methode Electronics Inc., a specialist in the Mechatronics industry with a global workforce of 6,000+ employees and manufacturing campuses dispersed in Europe, Asia, The Americas, and Africa.

Methode Electronics services most prestigious world-wide renowned brands in a wide range of industry areas. Predominantly it serves the Automotive Industry with mechatronic and ambient lighting solutions.

This includes endless possibilities for sensor and user interface applications such as for Auto interior and exterior user interface controls, pedal box, ignition, chassis, suspension, transmission and powertrain.

Another area of specialisation is Power Engineering for Automotive and non-Automotive applications, such as, the Military & Aerospace and Railway Transportation industries and wireless safety radio remote controls for the Heavy Industry.

It also specialises in User Interface and Sensor Solutions for other Industry areas such as Consumer, Commercial, and Industrial appliance and machinery electronics market as well as the Medical sector.This acquisition will strengthen both the function of Methode Electronics world-wide and Procoplast as a specialist in processed controlled plastics.

Procoplast is in close proximity to several key automotive customers including Bosch, Kiekert, ZF-TRW and others. This will augment Methode’s transmission lead-frame business in Europe to a higher spectrum of capabilities.
